To celebrate the end of 2008, the international wine center Central Wine Cellar run by Central Food Retail Company Limited presented a great pink fun night, "Pink Elephant Charity Night." At the charity night, honored guests enjoyed an exclusive Rosé wine “Pink Elephant” and had fun with chic pink party in the concept of "The Most Fascinating Wine & Dance of the Year with a live Music Battle of the DJs" at World Ballroom 23rd floor, Centara Grand at CentralWorld. All proceeds from the party and earning from wine selling was donated to Elephant Nature Park, a foundation dedicated to look after the well-being of elephants in the North of Thailand.

 Mr. Ross Edward Marks, Vice President-Wine & Spirits of Central Food Retails Co., Ltd., mentioned about the pink night, “This charity night was arranged to introduce Portuguese Rosé wine “Pink Elephant” which has been highly recognized in Britain since the year 2006. Rosé wine Pink Elephant is a perfectly complement with Asian spicy food, especially, Indian and Thai cuisine. Pink Elephant is also very popular among prominent restaurants in London.”

Additionally, this pink night was set to raise funds for Elephant Nature Park which is a habitat to conserve Thai elephants. “Pink Elephant has followed the corporate policy in London, UK which strives to preserve elephants and support the Elephant Family foundation that promotes Asian elephant conservations including elephants in Sri Lanka and in Thailand.

To carry out the corporate commitment, when Central Food Retail Company Limited brought Pink Elephant Rosé into Thailand, the company aimed to advocate an elephant foundation like Elephant Nature Park run by Ms. Sangduen Chailert who truthfully concerns about elephants without any intention to raise income or to make tourism benefit.

The Pink Elephant Charity Night featured the first grand opening of wine Pink Elephant Rosé in Thailand. There were an exhibition and auctions of Thai elephant illustrations from top international artists and selling commercial products. In the party, the World Ballroom was magically created in total pink. Honored guests enjoyed an exclusive Rosé wine Pink Elephant and had a load of fun with chic pink party to celebrate the end of 2008.

The charity night embarked on how Rosé wine Pink Elephant has supported the well being of Thai elephants at Elephant Nature Park Foundation. Then, six sassy ladies Celebrity Dancer took a stage to perform their exhilarating dances at the first time. And two extreme live music battles between Drum and Bass by DJ Mungkorn Timkul and 70’s-80’s Retro House Mixed and Urban Music by DJ Patrick Chainam began. The dazzling performances were hosted by sexy MC Patharawarin “May” Timkul.

The charity was gratified with fascinating music, spectacular performances, and detectable food and incredible wine. Honored guests from various fields including Central group executives Mr. Wanchai Chirathivat, Mr.Ian Pye were presented at the party. Other honored guests were Ms. Supee Pongpanit, Ms. Nantawan Sangdhamkijjakul, Mr. Yothin Dhamjamras, M.L. Hathaichanok Kridakorn, Ms. Rungthip Issarangkul Na Ayutthaya, Ms. Thitinan Kiatphaibool and Mr. Fan Sritrirut.

At the party, Central Wine Cellar initially donated 300,000 baht to Elephant Nature and will make additional contributions with incomes from illustration art and wine auctions including other incomes from selling elephant related products such as bag, postcard, doll and necktie. Income from selling each bottle of Pink Elephant was also deducted for 30 baht to contribute to Elephant Nature Park foundation and will be used to assist elephant in the future.  

Central Food Retail Company Limited is corporate with Pink Elephant Global to produce and sell T-shirt with graphic elephant screen printed in several patterns. Every 50 baht from selling one T-shirt will be donated to the foundation for assisting Asian elephants. The T-shirts are distributed at Tops Supermarket at Central Chidlom, and Central World and Central Wine Cellar at Hua Hin, Koh Samui and Surat Thani as well as are marketed along with Pink Elephant wine in abroad.
