Bangkok – 7 November 2008 – Central Food Retail, leading retailer of premium food products, welcomes you to The Taste of Germany, a food festival with a German ‘Food Karneval’ spirit.
The Taste of Germany this year is inspired by the joyful atmosphere of a German festive occasion. Visitors will enjoy cheerful party events, parades, and German cooking demonstrations by well-known chefs. Customers will be able to taste more than 100 varieties of delicious food, desserts and drinks imported from Germany at special prices.
“This year, Central has brought back The Taste of Germany food festival to give local customers an opportunity to experience the culture of Germany and enjoy the taste of a wide variety of German specialties,” said Mr Ian Pye, President of Central Food Retail.
“There will be premium German sausages like Green Peppercorn Bockwurst and Arabian Smoky Sausage, BBQ Ham, smoked salmon, pork loin, premium Kodiak wild salmon caviar, trout caviar, many varieties of beer, coffee, fresh fruit and vegetables and many kinds of tinned food.”
Customers will enjoy many kinds of sweets and snacks including Ritter Sport Chocolate, fruit candy and jelly, potato chips, German home-made bakery products such as pretzels and Bavarian loaves and rolls.
SPOT Reward Card members will receive special discounts at the festival, and for every 350 baht they spend on participating German items, they will receive a tin of Pulmoll exclusively German-imported vitamin C sugar free candy worth 65 baht.
The Taste of Germany food festival is now open at 33 branches of Central Food Hall, TOPS Market and selected TOPS Super throughout the country, and will continue until November 25, 2008.
