Ripley Believe Or Not Pattaya, Thailand, are holding out a challenge to an Italian master chef to prepare the World Record Challenge for the Greatest Variety of Pasta Sauces at The Cook School, Central Food Hall, 7th Floor, Central World Plaza.
Chef Marco Ragnacci is a veteran Italian chef whose culinary specialty is making hundreds of different kinds of pasta sauce. With the expertise and skill gained in his lifetime’s career, Chef Marco has developed an outstanding talent for the cuisine of his native Italy.
He is well known in Italy and internationally especially for his pasta sauces, and can make them in more than 700 styles. He knows them so well he doesn’t need to taste them before serving. All he does is choose the ingredients that will suit for each dish, blend them in the right proportions, and a brand new pasta sauce is born.
In August 2004 he set up an unofficial world record in Pasta sauce cooking, 382 different sauce in 8 hours. The year 2006 he set up an unofficial world record in Pasta sauce cooking, 402 different sauce in 8 hours.
In this year (2007) Chef Marco Ragnacci make 422 types of pasta sauce in Six-twenty five hours to achieve the world record from Ripley Believe Or Not Pattaya, Thailand.
Chef Marco may be working with dark and white chocolate, Mascapone cheese and Parma ham or with gold foil, squid ink pasta topped with caviar, Gorgonzola cheese with pear, artichoke and almond, and any number of sauces involving different varieties of seafood.
