Bangkok – August 21, 2007 – Central Food Retail Co., Ltd. has demonstrated its excellence in food safety standard with the award of ‘Bangkok Food Safety City’ certification by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The certification guarantees that food companies inspected have passed the standard of quality set by the BMA for hygiene and cleanliness in fresh food and beverage departments as well as the food court.
“This food safety certification confirms that the hygienic condition of food distribution venues, food preparation and storage in Bangkok can meet the highest standards,” said Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin.
“Apart from providing consumers and tourists with safe, clean food according to the BMA’s Food Safety City strategy, it will help to project the image of Bangkok as one of the most liveable cities in the world. Ms. Phattaraporn Phenpraphat, Vice President – Marketing & Public Relations of Central Food Retail Co., Ltd. said that the company had worked closely with the Health Department of the BMA in conducting rigorous inspections of the food outlets and dailycatessen departments at Tops.
