Central Food Retail Company Limited (CFR) is holding a fair entitled, ‘Tastes of USA, Here’s to a Healthier You’ to bring nutritious, dailycious, quality American foods to Thai consumers at 29 branches of Central Food Hall, Tops Market and Tops Super throughout July 2007.

American produce, the seafood of its coasts, the beef of its prairies, and the fantastic variety of its fruit and vegetables from the Canadian border down to Southern California, is unrivalled for its quality. And nowhere is nutrition and food quality of more concern than in the USA.

“American food products are famous for their taste and variety and have long been favoured by Thai consumers,” says Nick Reitmeier, Vice President-International Food and Wine of Central Food Retail Co Ltd. “There are so many nutritious American food products available, and this time, we are representing American in a brand new way.

“At Central Food Retail, we’ve been hard at work researching and selecting truly wholesome items for Thai consumers. You’ll find every ingredient, all the things you need to create unique American menus of your own at all Central Food Hall, Tops Market and selected Tops Super stores.

Over 80 of the finest most nutiritous foods American foods will be available in Tastes of USA, Here’s to a Healthier You.  With the focus on nutrition, US products highlighted at the fair will include Black Angus beef and American wines; fresh fruit such as cherries, grapes and apples, peaches and nectarines, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, as well as cholesterol-free drinks and health-giving products like cereals, snack bars and juices. In addition, favourite American labels like Jelly Belly and Ice Breakers will be available exclusively at Central Food Retail’s stores.

Apart from daily food tastings and demonstrations of healthy American menus during the weekends, advice and information on the products will be displayed by the shelves. Special promotions will also be offered, and customers spending 1,000 baht on participating American products with their SPOT Rewards Card will receive a complimentary Tree Top apple juice worth 72 Baht.

The “Tastes of USA, Here’s to a Healthier You” will open on the USA’s National Day, July 4 and continue until July 24 at 29 branches of all Central Food Hall, Tops Market and some selected Tops Super across Thailand.
