Central Food Retail Co Ltd, operator of Central Food Hall, Tops Market, Tops Super, marketplace by Tops, Tops Supermarket and Tops Daily, is celebrating the 2007 New Year with a gift basket campaign at its retail outlets entitled, ‘A Treasury of New Year Baskets.’ It offers a variety of products in more than 500 styles for a broad spectrum of customer requirements, and offers discounts of up to 10%. During the campaign period, the company expects sales to grow by 20%.
“In this season of giving, we are offering high quality gift baskets with which our customers can send their greetings and good wishes to friends and associates, whether they are clients or health-conscious consumers, home cooks or wine lovers,” said Chiranun Poopat, Senior Vice President – Buying & Merchandising and Marketing, Central Food Retail Co Ltd.
“With a 30% to 40% share of the market, we have been in the leading position in the New Year baskets segment, and this year we expect to increase sales by 20% over last year. In this campaign, customers can choose from 340 basket arrangement formats at Tops Supermarket with prices ranging from Bt395 to Bt12,150; and 160 formats at Central Food Hall priced from Bt1,750 to Bt38,600. The choice of basket formats results from our consumer research, which indicates that the most popular will cost between Bt1,500 and Bt2,500.”

“Our gift baskets are preferred as presents during the New Year season, and we guarantee freshness, food safety and quality in every basket, as well as a product detail list that is in line with the regulation of the Department of Internal Trade. Manufacture and expiry dates will be stated on all baskets containing fruit and vegetables. Every item in each basket must be new and in good condition; if not, refunds can be demanded within February 28, 2007.”
“Design, decoration and materials will also be carefully selected as a reflection of the giver’s good taste and for the recipient’s satisfaction,” Mrs Chiranun added. “This is what differentiates our products from others, and maintains our customers’ confidence.”

At Tops Daily Ang Thong, Edison Chiang Rai, Mae Rim, and Muang Thong Thani branches, customers will have the chance to win Yamaha Pheno motorcycles every time they spend Bt180 via Spot Rewards cards.
